Saving fuel on CX9

Our 2013 with 11,000 on it just did a 1,800 mile trip and the highway parts got us 23.9 when I stayed under 80mph. Can't complain too much but wish it got a little better.

I am having problems with my mileage. I bought the truck in the summer and my mileage was 13/18hwy. First winter with it and im easily in single digits. My camaro gets better city and hwy along with my buddies escalade, 600hp camaro. Almost at 3/4 of tank with around 150kms which is around 90 or so miles. It is pretty insance to say the least. Everytime i start the damn truck up, the needle has gone down slightly like a joke!

I am getting 20 mpg average on my CX-9. It is a 2013 Sport model. I am carrying about 700 pounds including myself. I drive a truck and have to carry a lot of gear back and forth between hometime. I am going to try the higher octane fuel and see if that helps the fuel efficiency. Also looking for performance mods for my vehicle like superchargers, exhaust manifolds, etc. So far no one has any information on the mods.

The cold will mess the consumption up a lot. Engine is dumping more fuel in to compensate until the engine is at the normal operating temp. This thing is just heavy. Other than dropping excess weight, and making sure the A/C isnt on, those are about the only savings. Leaving the auto temp engaged turns the A/C on and that will drop your MPG's. I always crack a window and just use the fan until summer and we can get around low 20's on average for tank of gas.
