Hello Everybody!
This is Jenny, I have taken over Larrys screen name for a few moments. On August 3, 2012, I will be participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day in Cleveland. I will be walking 60 miles over the three days to help find a cure for breast cancer. One woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every two minutes in the U.S.
I have committed to raise $2,300 in donations, and have only made it half way to my commitment. I am determined to meet this personal challenge because of a very special person in my life, my grandmother Margaret Echelberger. She lost her two year battle with breast cancer June 9, 1999. With my determination and your support, I know I can do this! The money raised will help fund the research needed to find the cure.
Susan G. Komen is working hard to build a future without breast cancer. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help bring us closer to that goal. There are several ways to donate: Online www.the3day.org/goto/jhatfield6, my personal fundraising page (online credit card donations can even be spread over four monthly payments); If you dont want to complete the transaction online, you can go to the bottom of that page and print out my personalized donation form that can be mailed in with your donation (check or money order) made payable to Susan G. Komen 3-Day with Participant ID#6485234 on the memo line; or you can call 1-800-996-3DAY. No donation is too big or too small! (If you decide to mail in a donation, please make sure you send it no later than July 15th to make sure it is posted prior to August 1st.)
Let me know if you have any questions or would like to do more to support this cause! Chances are that you know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. I appreciate your support! When they announce the location of the starting/finishing line and cheering stations, I will let you know! I hope you can come cheer me on during this amazing journey(2thumbs)!
~Jenny

C'mon meeps, there have been a lot of views and no comments or promised donations. Jenny is ~600 away from the required donation of 2300. She can really use some help. Thanks.

we will donate!! i'm just a procrastinator ... and since i just made another late donation to another cause today, i will do this next week ... PROMISE! i just wrote it on my calendar ...

Just a reminder for those donations! They really MUST be in by tomorrow (MONDAY JULY 30)! We are really close to the goal as soon as everything posts, but we STILL NEED YOUR HELP!

thanks for the reminder, just added to your goal. best of luck, jenny. that's a l o n g walk, kudos to you!!

A big thank you to everyone that donated! I have met my goal...now to meet the walking goal! 60 miles will definitely be a long distance, but it is all for a great cause! Just wanted to relay some info for the opening/closing ceremonies and cheering stations just in case anyone has some free time! I would love to see some of you there!

Opening Ceremony is located at Dock 32, 237 Erieside Ave in Cleveland
This ceremony begins at 630am on Friday, August 3rd.

The following are cheering stations, please note that they are different every day!
Cheering Stations. Public cheering stations are a great way to show your support along the route to encourage walkers and let them know that you are with them every step of the way. Seeing familiar faces can provide that extra burst of energy that gets a walker to take that next step or go the next mile. Create banners, hold up signs, bring some music and spread the love - anything to make them smile, get energized and keep walking.

On some portions of the route you may find areas that are deemed “quiet zones” which will be indicated by signage on the route. Please assist us in respecting our neighborhoods and communities during this time.
