Try ebay for the cutout and go to a local shop to get it installed it will be about $100.00 for install + $125.00 for the piece = $225.00 will out flow anything else not bad at all.
Now if you dare you can try this CAI, stage colder plugs, FMIC, full turbo back exhaust, AFC, 440cc injectors, wideband and 14psi = 240+ whp

i won't go over 10 PSi for street use, and 12 for track without internals... from what i've gathered it's just not safe. but yeah i've already got all supporting mods pretty much (in sig) would love to do a cutout too, but i'd like one that can be opened/closed. what's a good price for some bigger injectors... the AFC will support them right? and wideband is far too expensive for my 20 hour a week $7.50 an hour job... lol that's why my exhaust and IC are custom and i do ALL my installation myself. unless it's something not doable in a garage (like the exhaust and IC... lol) but i think with the weather the way it is, and all the mods i'll have sooni should break 13's on 10 PSi (b00sted went 14.3 with SMIC exhaust and boost controller in the SUMMER so winter for me +FMIC + AFC + suspension (helps a little!) and my sick ability to drive the MSP i should be cool with like 13.99 ::crosses fingers::)

oh yeah and as for the mil elim. i'll probbaly just do the method in the "how to:" forum radio shack style... if i get lazy i'll just buy it from apexr1 though

440cc's used from a wrx are ussually less than $100.00 just find a shop with a wideband and tune the 440cc's that will be the most affordable choice and for the cutout I ment an electric cutout it's just stuff to consider.

I forgot to mettion there's a map online you can use with the 440cc's so that you can drive to the shop with everything installed and then just fine tune it.

not doable in the garage like the exhaust and IC? you don`t need too many tools to put the IC or exhaust on. you don`t even need a garage. that`s easy stuff. do it yourself, you can get it done. i`ve done ALL my work too (incl. FMIC and exhaust), it`s probably best to do all your own work. glad to hear you do yours.

I confused myself the other day and can`t remember which plugs I put in. I went one step colder and I think I put in BKR6E I don`t think it was 7E. But, really it could`ve been. So, I`m either running 6E or 7E. Which one is one step colder? Wait, I think I went 7E...AHH!

Yeah, 2 HOT <---> 12 COLD but I couldn`t remember what one step colder is. Oh well, I`ll just pull `em out and buy `em when I change `em next or search the forum. EDIT: found some good info. NGK ZFR7F was highly recommended to me by kicker22705 (runnin 14 PSI) and they`re only $2-$4. In the premium class though, go with NGK BKR7EIX-11 at about $6-$8. Climate also affects plug choice, both colder for higher than stock boost, gap either @ .032. Stock OEM MPS plugs are NGK PZFR6F-11 gap at .044. 2HOT<--->12COLD. Also, I was told by Steve Brown at Magnecor that the Magnecor 03 Protege 2.0L engine plug wires will fit the MAZDASPEED Protege.

no i got my exhaust custome and the IC i only bought the core so that too will be custom... lol i could definately install either or if they weren't custom or if i had a pipe bender...

oh and yes, 2 next mods are definately 440's and exhaust cutout, thanks for the idea... i can imagine revving at unsuspecting ricers and then when they rev back with the cutout open (hah). doyou need special clips for the wrx inj.?

I see, you got the piping to worry about. How much less $ is that going to work out to? I got my hiboost for $749 brand new (wish I could get a top/bottom instead of side/side). and my exhaust is $169 (slightly used). Check out my editted previous post about plugs and wires (#409). Don`t forget motor mounts!

the core was 180 shipped and the piping will be 250 so far but i htink there's a guy who may do it for 200, so it'll be less than 450 total! the exhaust was like 130 for the muffler and like 75 for the piping but in my first accident my muffler cracked so i had the insurance co pay for the piping instead of a new mazdaspeed muffler and i went out and bought the muffler.

Got mine... I gotta run and get more vac lines though. Probably install later this week. I am just glad to get the FCD out of the picture. Probably be putting it up for sale soon.

just so everyone knows... in the installation instructions it says that the wire on pin 103 in the MSP ECU is black... but on my MSP it was black/red. found a pinout and installation instructions and it says that black/red is the proper color. have had no problems with mine so i'm guessing there's a typo in the installation instructions!

not yet
i got my middle fingered slammed into a car door yesterday and it really got ****** up. i've had a shiitty 24 hours. i cant even type with both hands...and driving is a b****
aaaahh this sucks
