RX-8 engine in RX-7?

Could you put the engine from an RX8 into a 95 RX-7? I really like the RX7s but they are kind of older now and if I had any problems with it, I'd need to get a new engine. Just wondering if this is possible.

It would cost you $6000 + for the motor/accesories plus the ECu for an ungodly amount. IMO get a Cosmo motor from FC3SBoy and do everything you can to make it reliable like a Petit AST, Silicon vaccum lines ect.

that would be pretty sick if you could do that! i've got an '88. and i have wondered about that ever since the rx-8 came out. post a reply if you find anything out about doing something like that.

The 13b in the rx-7 is much better than the renesis. The real project with the renesis would be putting it into a first gen. I think someone's already working on it :).

Eventually someone will total a RX-8 then buy the wrecked car....

13b REW -$2300.00 255hp
13b RE -$1700.00 220hp
13bT S5 -$1050.00 202hp
13bT S4- $950.00 182hp
rx8 motor -$6000.00 238hp

if it was my FD i would put in a REW motor, can't have a 3rd gen without the turbos

Nah, the cooler thing would be too put a TTRX-7 engine in an RX-8, they did the whole swap in modified mag that s*** was crazy they were pumping like 850+hp out of that b****
