i might be an idiot buddy but i know for a fact that a stock 3rd gen and a stock s2k on the track the s2k dont have a chance. now my car on the track will also blow your s2k out the water but my car is an off road affair so i cant compare a street car to a race car. by the way i was comparing a s2k to an rx7 not rx8 in price and yes i think its an overpriced piece of crap because i can name 3 cars that are in the same price range as a new s2k and destroy it on the track off the track up your poop hole wherever

1. the Evo
2. the STI
3. the 350z track pkg

now do you need more reminding of what is overpriced and overated or should i tell you that i could build 2 of my race cars with your one. hmm lets see 2 race cars or one honda what should i choose (bird) anyways im wasting my time go to a honda forum with all the kiddies and talk about whatever it is you fools talk about.

Maybe you need to go take a look at the best motoring video again. The S2000 blew away the G35 which is basically the same as the 350Z. Now, with that said, the 350Z with the track package could possibly beat the S2000 in a road race, but it also may not because the difference between the 350Z and the G35 coupe isn't all that much so I doubt it would beat the S. It all depends on the track, open and fast, or tight and technical. Tight and technical the S2k wins all day long. And I'm sorry, but your statement on the RX7 beating an S2000 on a track is merely opinion, because it damn sure isn't a fact. I'm talking stock for stock. I'm not talking about your highly modded RX7.

And by the way, I'm not trying to prove that the S2000 is the best car ever so don't make a dumb immature statement. The Ferrari Enzo is the best car ever, in my opinion at least.

What a waste! Guys, if you want a real car, go test drive an S2000. The S2000 will kill the RX8 any day of the week.

And for any of you that say, "well I'll just put a turbo on it", Well, I can do the same for the S2000 and still beat the pants off the RX8.

Now, if you want to talk about looks. Put the S2000 and the RX8 rear ends side by side and see how Mazda copied the S2000 Rear end. The front of the RX8 is just ass ugly in my opinion.

RX8 = waste of money unless you are just a die hard rotary fan.

the g35 is almost the same, but it seats 4 and has softer suspension due to its luxury status. the 350z is a 2 seater, lighter, and stiffer suspension. now the track pkg ads stiffer suspension, bigger brakes( brembo brakes) and comes wit forged lightweight rims made by rays engineering thats sounds like a big difference to me. also im at work but when i get home i will load up the best motoring video showing a 99 rx7 spanking everyone else and i do mean everyone else r34 skyline gtr spec-v, nsx type r and type s, r33 skyline spec-v, evo VI, 01 wrx sti blah blah now please tell me that your s2k would beat any of those around the track so i can have a laugh please they didnt even bother to put it on the track wit those cars cuz it's not comparable.

It dynos between 175hp-185hp until the locked in 'break in' sensor from the ECU is automatically shut off. After that, I believe it should dyno over 200hp.

I haven't seen it yet, but ZoomZoomH as claimed to see one. He doesn't make up lies for the fun of it, so I believe him.

ahem, no one has dyno'd an RX-8 to 200hp, yet.

the 200-205hp is an estimate based on what a stock FD RX-7 was tested at...

Mazda should have an official response to this issue very shortly. I will update you all when I find out...

Why is there so many RX-8 haters running their lips on the Protege forum, if you S2k guys want to run you lips do it with the rotorheads over a the rx8 forum..by the way I love the 8 and love the 10,200 redline that comes with it, if i wanted a 2-seater i would get a real sports car a 93-95 RX7 and destroy the honda boys.

as for the comments made about the best motoring vids...i'm just gonna say that it's not exactly even/set in stone...yes the cars are similar and the times were close...but i gotta say in racing in comes down to who's a better driver...if you want to get any comparison keep everything even...just a thought...
