RX-7 engine swap

hey, yea im a nub and i dont know much about rotary engines but i was wondering what engine can you swap into a rx-7? im thinking about getting one and wondering what i could do to it. any information is helpful.

uhh, 13-b, 20b, ls-1, lt-1, sr20det....lol just some of the swaps ive seen...but those aren't all rotaries either, just the 13b and 20b(3 rotor)

happen to know if dropping in an rx-8 engine is possible?

agreed.. plus mazda wont sell you one.. you would have to find a wrecked rx8 for one..

Didn't someone swap a Supra motor into a 3rd gen RX, or was it a 3rd gen motor into a Supra?? I forget...

Only ends up weighing like 50lbs more, and the weigh distribution stays nearly the same. Do a head and cam package w/ some tuning, put out a reliable 400whp.

yea someone did swap in a 2jz into a rx7...i forgot about that one.

they but a supra motor into an RX7 and vice-versa..Put an LS1 or a 4.6L in a rx7..that'd be kickass.

there's a few rx7s with ls-1s...real nice setup, i still like the one with a sr20det in it the best...

not to be hating or anything, but i just dont' believe that anyone should be swapping any motor into an rx-7 that isn't a mazda engine. but that's just IMO.

Go 13b with 3 turbos... one showed up at Royal Mazda about 4 months ago... ONE FAST mother tooo..
