Just returned home with my new 2008 Mazda GS and loving it.
My question is what are your opinions on the rust and paint protection for the M5? So far I just got the fabric protection and a rear bumper guard on and a bug deflector on order. Is it better to have the protection done at the dealer or an outside source? Holes or through the gaps(?) spraying?
Or heck even not at all? The car will be a long time keeper.
Thanks!

Krown Rust Control

I personally have used Krown over the last 6 yrs and have had great results. First used it on my wifes 02 Tribute and it was mint when I sold it for the 02 Odyssey we have now. Have since sprayed the odyssey and will continue to do so.

They do drill holes to spray I will warn but they cap them afterwards and the product does drip so you might want to park it on the street for a few days afterwards but it's worth it.

The 06 Mazda 5 we just picked up has the electronic rust control on it from the previous owner but I was noticing the other day that the under carriage of the car is starting to rust already so might switch over to krown this fall.

Once you start with Krown it has to be done annually but the price remains locked as long as you do it every year.

Congrats on the purcahse by the way. My wife and I fight over the car now so it's kind of funny as before all she wanted was the Odyssey.

Cheers...
