Dude, I would LOVE to do that -- but I sold the steelies as soon as I picked up those new winter wheels. I didn't have any need for two sets, after all -- but now I reeeeeeally wish I'd kept 'em!Put the steelies on the car... tell anyone interested that the car came stock with steelies and covers... lol! Keep both sets.

First of all its not your thread its just about you and what happened to your car, do you understand that you didnt start it? And the forum is here to help and educate people with problems or how to avoid them and my comments do apply Thank You very Much
Yeah, it was snowing when i was going to work, and the news said 2-5 inches for me. So hopefully no one else around here gets in a crash.
When i was up in Clearfield on 80 there was a car flipped over on its roof, i hope those people were good.
Whats with people on 80 speeding all the time in bad conditions.
Thanks again for the support, guys.
I did hear back from the insurance company late yesterday afternoon. While I don't want to reveal the exact numbers -- as it turns out, the salvage value of my MSP is higher than I expected. But there are other factors the came into the equation. First off, if I buy the car back, I'd have to transport it from Philly out to Harrisburg -- more money. In addition, I found out the borough where I live does NOT allow unregistered vehicles on residential property, so I'd have to pay to store the MSP in a storage unit for God only knows how long -- more money.
So combine those factors together .. and my buying the MSP back just didn't make sense. So I've decided to let it go.
I spent two hours this morning in the salvage yard, pulling off what I could and crying almost the entire time. My entire family was there with me, and when we finally decided we'd pulled off all the parts we could 'get away with' and told the salvage yard employee to come take the car away again -- all four of us stood there and watched the fork lift haul my MSP away. I was in hysterics, which got my sister bawling, which got my mother bawling, which even got my dad teary-eyed. We made a pretty big scene, LOL. Even the fork lift guy looked like he felt awful.
Right now I'm going to try my damndest to make sure that someone buys my MSP and tries to restore it, versus having vultures come and rip it slowly to pieces. Because the thing that amazes me -- that really effing KILLS me, to be completely honest -- is that THE DAMN CAR STILL RUNS. For s**** and giggles, I sat in it and turned the key and it fired right up and ran like half of its front end wasn't missing. That's what killed it, I'm pretty sure -- the frame damage up front is bad. But I'm not positive at the moment as I haven't received the paperwork yet.
And yeah, the fact that there's another snowstorm rolling in, and that I'm supposed to be driving to classes tomorrow in it -- pfft, I don't think THAT's gonna happen.
