Running Wire Inside Door?

Does anyone know how to run wire from the vehicle cabin to inside the door panel?

I haven't taken a close look at the CX9's, but most modern day cars now have a molex connector from the cabin to the door Video (start at about 2:40 into the video). Actually, this video gives you a pretty good overview of what's required these days; it's quite involved.

It used to be so simple back in the day because the car manufacturer's used to run a few tiny wires through this booted passage so you used to be able to pass a train through here. Not any more.

Door panel removal video if you decide to continue, or are just curious about it.

Remove kick panel, remove door panel, fish wire thru access hole & rubber sleeve that the other door wires go thru.

Hmmm, it seems I have to drill into the grommet. I don’t want to drill into anything since I’m afraid of damaging electrical wires
