Acura TSX
I just got back from test driving both cars. I know these two are not in similar classes but they're the only two I have in mind. The Acura person is telling me there no rebates or anything at all to bring down the price but the Subura guy is jumping for joy in selling me his WRX. And i'm also trading in my P5 for it. I am leading toward the RSX a lot due to its solid feel. I love the interior feel compare to the WRX's cheap feel and flimsy cup holder. The only thing I'm considering in the WRX is the Turbo and AWD, I love it! Sorry guys but I'm going to jump off the mazda wagon. I need something more faster and more flashier..... tell me what you guys think!

The RSX is cool.. my friend's got a type-s with the JDM type-R engine.. hondata ecu.. exhaust.. and its fast as hell... but you could easilly make a WRX faster off the line. I'd personally get the WRX cause I think the WRX looks good for a sedan.. and the RSX looks kinda funny for a coupe. Also, you can't go wrong with turbo + AWD. You might wanna read up about the WRX transmission though.. when I was doing some reasearch on them, I noticed that a lot of peoples' gears shitted out on them.. I think it was mostly 2nd gear and reverse.

My fiancee is looking at cars, now that she's graduating Pharmacy school. She test drove a black RSX-S last week and fell in love. I don't think tonight's test drive of a Mazda 6 and 3 will sway her. Completely different cars. I'm actually edging her away from Mazda. The RSX-S is more fun, has a better fit and finish. I'm not very happy with Mazda's handling of the clunk, and overall dealership experiences. You walk into an Acura dealership, and they don't haggle you, you walk into a Mazda dealership, and want to slit your own throat by the time you've walked out the door. :D

Invoice on a '04 RSX-S is 21,800 or so. Should be able to talk them down. Or use autobytel if you're a wuss, like me :).

hmmm i'm not suprise with the amount of WRX on the polls. I'm going back to the dealer this Friday to see how much I can get with my P5 and I guess that will determine my pick...oh another thing, chicks digs the RSX!!! They can careless about the AWD and turbo! haha

Honestly, I don't like the looks of the regular WRX. I think it looks like a plastic toy. The new, non-beetle headlights were a step in the right direction, but I still don't feel it... The STi looks good though :)

im a huge honda fan and im saying wrx... that should say something

i love the rsx type s, but turbo and all wheel drive is a winner

oh Both are 2004 model. I agree, I never did like the frog lights of the 02 and 03. Sorry my friend, the STI is too much $$$$

This is true. Do you have a need for 4 doors? Do you have a family etc? My fiancee doesn't and can get by with 2 doors. The back seat of the RSX-S was surprisingly comfy.

My friend's RSX type -S with the JDM type-R engine is "fire pepper red". We make fun of him all the time.. call it the pink rocket. And we constantly make fun of him for driving a girl's car. Chicks dig the RSX.. like the dig a jetta. Get the WRX.. throw in the proper piping, and the right exhaust... you won't be disappointed. You'll think someone sneaked an old big block into your engine bay.

I was a taxi driver with the P5, so having no leg room at all in RSX is a plus for me! and no, no family...yet :)

how about put in couple more G's and get a TSX instead?? chicks will dig the blingness in that car!

if not, I'd go for the RSX-S

you do know if a chick digs a car that means it's a good looking car regardless of gender or sexual preference ;)

besides it's a Honda engine, you can make shitloads of NA power out of it :D

I vote for the RSX...IMO it doesn't matter how fast you can make it...WRX's, fast or not, are everywhere now...If you buy one and mod the crap out of it, you won't be too different than your dentist who just did the same thing...Plus the DC5 chassis is second only to the "BJ", if that (pertaining to FWD platforms people)...Just get rid of the crap touring tires, get some better wheels, and maybe a few Mugen parts and you will be set...

I have driven both cars, I have raced both cars in many different forms. The WRX is a better car for a driver. The WRX is made for people who love to go out and have fun in their car. The RSX is a bit more classy and is a sports car, but it has a bit more civility to it compared to the more agressiveness and muscularity of the WRX.

oh, does does either these cars have LSD?
The North American Type S does not...The JDM DC5 type R (still an ITR in Japan) does have one...

Not too sure about the WRX...I think its got some limited slip coupling s***, but open diffs at the front and rear...

Fair enough for the cars we have available in the U.S. ...but a much better comparison would be the true Type R Vs. a WRX...Both of those could be considered drivers cars, and the Type R drops all that "civility" nonsense that no one really needs...
