RPM goes up slower than civic!!!!!!!

I used to drive 02 civic si and changed it to mp5
I thought there wouldn't be no difference cuz mp5 engine produces 130 hp which is a little bit higher than civic
but how come there is a huge difference btwn them?
is it becuz civic's got VTEC engine?
or civic's tranny is much stronger?
I don know why it takes so much time to reach 5k rpm.
by the way, how can I make it faster?

It was canadian civic si which is EX or LX(maybe) in the US.
and It makes 127 hp

You can make this car fast just like you could any other car. Turbo, exhaust, cams, head, CAI, etc.. welcome to the board, and get ready to take s*** for your posts...

Honda engines I find are very rev happy, especially lower torque engines such as the d16. My sister's car that i used to drive (acura 1.6EL) has the same engine, and it was a blast to drive because you can climb through gears quickly However, I think it's because the gearing is diff and the redline for the EL was higher. It may sound like you're going much faster in the honda car, but in reality, the p5 is probably going just as fast while not changing gears as quickly.

linuxracer is absolutely correct .............. the only reason your civic goes through the revs faster is due to the gearing being shorter thus making the car feel like it revs faster that and having a lighter bottom end and clutch/flywheel combo attribute to the feel.

I was going to buy turbo. but i decided not to waste ma money on serious performance.
I would trade with RX8 if I had that money lol
no one will notice that I got turbo unless he opens the hood.
and I wouln't get as much as i invested when I sell it.
I'd rather go for body kitz and sound system.
I've driven G35 (my friend's) and it's really awesome.
I tried to make MP5 like G35. now I know it's stupid.

If you want your P5 to rev quicker. The first thing to do would to buy a lightened flywheel. My old EK Coupe was very rev happy, but it cam at the expense of the torque or the lack there of.

Don't forget that the P5 weighs probably a couple hundred pounds MORE than a Civic.

100(speed+hp+handling)=money

or

(speed)(hp*100)(handling)= money^3 Because HP always cost more!
