Rotorworks rusting ?

Anyone elses Rotorworks rotors rusting yet ?
It just started raining regularly here and just noticed mine are.

Its just surface rust. Because they are slotted and crossed drilled the pad doesn't contact the surface, which removes the rest of the rust from the face of the rotor. I would contact Rotorworks and see what they say though. Those crevices SHOULD have been coated after they were made, not when the rotor was a blank.

well the coating was extra and most people did not get it ..........i got the zinc coating and have no rust problems what so ever and my car has been in the rain a lot since I put them on .......but i also have full silver rotors instead of the silver and black, which is ok....

Yeah I was going to get the coating but Cullen said it was not neccesary and would not rust. I just think it looks crappy.

Sorry for the inconvience, I have email you to remedy the problem. Everyone had the zinc coating option. I never said it wouldn't rust, all rotors rust. Get back to me to get it taken care of.

Was this resolved in the end? how'd you take care of the rust problem?

I just painted mine with 500 degree silver paint. yay rattle can action. no rust in slots. i win.

Rotorworks said they would zinc coat them for free. Boostin lives in Canada and shipping to CAN is $100. After shipping back and forth, it would be a $200 zinc job. Boostin found a local guy to zinc his rotors for $45 so he is having them done locally. SU has issued him store credit to compensate the hassle.

When did I move to Canada? My rotors are still rusty. I haven't had time to sand em down and take a rattle can to them.
Do I still get a $45 credit ? =)

You dont have time to rattle can them, but you have time to take off the wheel and caliper, remove the rotors, take them to local guy, get them done, come back, put them on, reinstall wheels (???)
