Oh and btw, does anyone have a part number for the rear Axis pads? Id like to use those when it comes time for the rears. thanks
The lines were easy, except for the fact i had a bleeder screw snap off in the caliper., Yes you have to drain and bleed the brake fluid. It took me about 6 hours, mainly due to the whole screw/caliper incident, and doing it around midnight does not help, there are no stores open to pick up a reverse drill bit, etc.Dr.Sound said:hey dex, how hard were the SS lines to install?
did u have to drain the brake fluid?
how long did it take?
thanks.
I'd be in on a SMIC if it was a good priceOrngSpd03 said:A Group buy on a nice Sirius Ready Head unit would be good....the kenwood in the MSP sucks, or Stainless Brake lines. How about a nice boost guage with electronic sender, A cheep one is almost $200! Those are my ideas for the next buy.(you probably already have boost gauges)
The SS brake lines are easy (except for those damn clips). Get the speedbleeders I have in my sig to save you some time and hassle bleeding the brakes. Get the clutch line and do it at the same time also.Dr.Sound said:hey dex, how hard were the SS lines to install?

What is a good price? Prices are set by the amount of materials, time, labor, and overhead put into making a piece. The SMIC is $595 and Turbohoses has done all the R&D to back this unit up. The amount of time put into this piece was rediculous.OrngSpd03 said:I'd be in on a SMIC if it was a good price
I have looked into turbohoses SMIC, along with the hardpipes. I think that is the one im getting. Figured if people go in on a group buy we could get a better price for buying 15-30 units at a time from some places. Anyway, I have no other Ideas for a GB, so ill just sit here drink a beer, wait for my rotors and ponder another GB Idea.********** said:What is a good price? Being a consumer myself, if I am already investing $500 on any SMIC that is on market, I am going to spend the extra $60-90 to get the best SMIC available. It is not worth saving the $60-90 on the $500 SMIC unit that is gonna chince out on my gains.
These are limited SMIC's, first come first serve. You get what you pay for baby, and you won't be disappointed.
