I went to NAPA, and asked if they had rotors for the MSP he looked it up and came back with this part # is this the correct one for the MSP? and the computer said this also. 4 wheel disc brake -sport -MPS suspension part # 86318 I'm guessing the MPS is Mazda Protege Sport not MSP.

Look for 99+ 626 brakes. If i remember correctly, it's the same rotors but less expensive because it's not MazdaSpeed. Also apparently they are better because they have multidirectional cooling vanes compared to straight vanes in the MazdaSpeed rotors. That info came from KVR.

ask "JONBOY" he will know, after all he DOES work at Mazda in the Parts department.......PM him he'll help ya out!

the part number is GF3Y-33-25XA for the frt rotors on a msp! ok and for the 99+626 the part number is different not saying it willnt work though 4 cyc rotor GA2Y-33-25XA
and a v6 is GD7Y-33-25XA. list on msp rotors are 69.95 each,v6 rotors are 38.xx and 4cyc are 78.55.

Is there a way to find out if the 626 rotors will work? I'm getting them crossed drilled and cryogenically frozen from frozenrotor so if the 626 will work it will save me some $. Any info will help thanks.

Yes they will work. I just got mine from KVR. The part # is MA858 and they were listed for the 626 2000+ V6 (the 4cyl discs are smaller and won't fit). Now, if you go on their website (www.kvrperformance.com), they are listed for the MSP as well. They are identical, except for the vans. the vans in the MSP rotors are straight and the ones in the 626 rotors are multi-directionnal (4 in one direction, 4 straight, 4 on the other direction, and so on). Therefore, they can't cross-drill these rotors (I got my slotted). I don't know if that's the case for all 626 rotors, but make sure you check that if you absolutely want cross-drilled.

My dealer even confirmed me that they installed 626 rotors AND pads on another MSP (the driver abviously didn't need high power braking becuase the 626 pads dont' decipate heat as well).

Hope this helps! ;)

Are both the front and the rears the same as the 626's?

Or is all the info above just for the fronts?
