Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I'm getting things finalized for pricing on Eagle rods for you guys, working on checking with oliver to see what they can do, and also working with SPEC on clutches. Also, we are fitting an EMS at the end of December for the 2.3L that will will be standalone and control the VVT as well.. so lots going on. Just contact me and let me know if there is anything else you want me to get on for you guys in the next months.

thanks!

I want an LSD, we got people puttin down 300+ hp to the wheels but they can only use first to spin their wheels. I would also like to see an intake mani. Also new mounts would be pretty cool.

the protege ones will likely fit... the transmission is almost identical... the final drive ratio is the same, so the pinions should fit without issue. I'll research more, but you should be able to do it.

Mounts and mani's are very very expensive... the mani is more likely for us to tackle than the mounts as mounts are just a mess for dealing with on a lot of levels... but we'll keep after it fo ryou guys.

there is an lsd... its made by quaiffe... its not cheap though.... and i thought there was one made by phantom grip or something as well... not sure... awr makes a rear engine mount allready... and the quality looks good to me (have it sitting in my closet)

Engine Torque Damper. That would be a cheap and better alternative to engine mounts.
I know a few that are looking to get one.

hey steve... the cosworth intake mani is supposed to work but throws a cel... and as the mazda ecu is so invasive its hard to tune from what i understand... maybe if you could that to work with out a piggy back or stand alone? i don't see the 3 having a huge range of products to pick from , so if there is something allready out that is of good quality why not try to make it work?

just checked with phantom grip and theres is for the mazda6 mtx... i e-mailed them to ask about the 3, and to see if they are the same transmission or not....

We are doing a standalone that will run about 1100 for you guys... it'll even do VVT on the 2.3 motor... It'll throw a CEL so it won't be any good for emission initially, but we'll work on that over time and get rid of that...

I would not go near a phantom grip.

It is a couple of plates that force the pinions to bind up... it works... but I don't trust it one bit.

We'll look into it, but not a huge area of expertise.
