this was just during time trials though... my reaction time was half of what his was. if i leave the line first and am still ahead of him at the end of the track, wouldn't i have a better 1/4 mile time?

No. If you leave the line 2nd and are ahead of him at the end of the track then you definitely have a better 1/4 mile time. But not the other way around.

whatever the confussion, congrats on lowering your time, that's pretty significant. I'm sure the weather helped 2 because last time was HOT. but you were consistant too.

Let's say we're both going to the same place in wisconsin and we're both leaving from minneapolis. If I leave at 4:30 and get there at 6:30 it took me two hours. If you leave at 5:00 and get there at 6:00 it took you one hour. But you left the line 2nd and you were ahead of me when you got to the finish.

You had a faster reaction time but his car actually cleared the 1/4 mile .4 seconds faster than you. He just started more than .4s later than you.

Another example. You are racing against a 9s car. You leave the line first you reach the finish before his car even moves. He then proceeds to run a 9s 1/4mile. You left the line first and you were ahead of him at the finish, but he still did the quarter mile faster than you. He just had a reaction time of 15s.

I was happy to keep my times consistant at 14.5. I made it to the third round in the Eliminations too bad I missed 2nd gear. Did you leave before Eliminations?

Yea unfortunately I had to be to work by 3. I left right around 1:30 or so... but I still got 7 runs in
