RM Racing - Top 3 Wish List

I'm curious as to why a supercharger versus a turbo? Doesnt a turbo produce a more consistent pressure increase? I've read on this forum that a supercharger wouldn't reach turbo pressure levels until over 4500??

Superchargers are not as good because 4 cylinders lack the torque needed to drive them as opposed to a six or eight cylinder car that could stand to lose a couple horses from the SC.

Some of the guys over at protegeclub.com have requested an intake manifold with individual throttle bodies. Do you guys know what that is? Do you need to split your intake into 4 pipes - one for each throttle body. Is this something that you all would want versus a bored out or bigger throttle body?

Once again, this is all really great feedback!

ITB's (Individual Throttle Bodies) are great for all out race apps, but I think you would run into problems using it them on a daily basis. They will be extremely loud at WOT and they have virtually no filtering capabilities. You'd also probably have to run stand alone engine management to completely utilize them. Yes they produce a great deal of power, but at the expense of noise and the definately won't pass smog. You would flunk the visual inspection.

One more thing, do you guys see where you'd put the MAF Sensor? Answer, you won't have anywhere to put it.

well, i guess let's go with...
1-headers
2-supercharger (even tho turbos are better, but a SC is cheaper...maybe a $2K kit that you can bolt on yourself vs a $4K turbo kit that you need installed)
3- intake manifold

First things first, forged internals and big TBs can wait.

Some adjustable cam pulleys would be easy to push thru developement, and would probably be hot sellers. The exhaust should have to have timing pickup adjustment too.

A SS header would also be easy and very marketable. Since nobody else is moving on one yet.

Light weight 2 and 4 piston calipers would be nice. 4 piston opposed in front, 2 floating in back.

What about the smaller items, such as LW pulleys and engine mounts? Also, I know they do a lot of billet products, so anything that you would want in billet would be a good request too...

Bite the Billet

Some LW pulleys would be soooper nice. Billet shifter, antenna for P5 or those MP3er's that make the conversion would nice too. Enough dreamin.... SHOW ME SHOW ME SHOW ME....... Daddy wants!!!!!

if the cat back and header are developed together and produce gains, i say hell ya. other wise my list is.

1. header sometime before i get another car in four years
2. rear strut tower bar for P5 (i know rishie is getting the EXE bar but i am sure it will cost a fortune)
3. pulleys, but not each sold separate, a complete set for under $250

just my 2cents

4-2-1 Header
1stage, 2stage, 3stage cams ( 2&3 would be for all motor while stage 1 would be for turbo or supercharger)
65mm Throttle Body
cam gears
bigger fuel rail
intake manifold
All I can think of for God sakes somebody needs to start making some shi$ for this car. Makes me sick to see they are alredy mass producing parts for the Ford Focus

1. FUNCTIONAL SCOOP/RAM AIR HOOD!!!!!! It'd be a huge seller with the turbos!
2. forged pistons/rods
3. and as someone mentioned earlier, manifold w/ integrated hi-flo cat.

00 protege

i'd like a hood and maybe an under spoiler for the 99-00 version of the protege, nobody really makes anything for it. and i'd like a 4-2-1 header
