they will not fit, milling it down or rolling will do the job, i dont recommend though, its best playing it safe than sorry and deal with the problems
non chrome ones are 16 lbsYelPro03 said:OK, so I have a question about the the stock rims that come with my 2003 P5. I know they are 16 inch rims with a 5-bolt pattern (of course) but what are the other important characteristics like width, bolt spacing, offset... or even weight if anyone ever bothered to weigh them. Thanks.
max tire width with a 18 is 215, 225 if you have a higher offset, but on hard turns you will rub with 225, 7.5 is fine with 215silverturbozoom said:i dont know if anyone have already asked this but whats the MAX tire width....im looking into getin 18s but the Volks im looking at start out at 7.5"....will it still fit?

So I gathered that the stock rims are 5-114.3 bolt pattern. Does anyone know what the offset is?BlueWolfCry said:non chrome ones are 16 lbs
both will fit nicely, so it's up to you, i'd go with the 215, wider and not that much more expensiveclownphish said:Hey, I'm looking into some ADR Visions and the specs are as follows:
17x7 5x100/114.3 offset 48
Would I use 215/40/17's or 205's? Also, how well will this fit? On the recipe on the first page it says +45 and higher for 17x7, just making sure. Thanks for any input you guys can give me!

i couldnt find any specs, if you could find them, i'd be happy to helpwhitemp5seattle said:Hey all,
ok I'm really not good with all the technical stuff. Can you help me out?
I have a friend who's gonna sell her 17" Enkei RF1's and she said she'd give 'em to me for $100 (rims only). Sounds like a great way to get rid of the stock rims and get bigger rims (current stock ones are 16" I think).
Here's the thing: I'm not sure if her 17" RF1's will fit my 2003.5 protege5. Does anybody else have those rims on their car? Or does anybody know if they will fit? I don't have the car lowered yet, but might in the near future...
Thanks!
Jeff
Yay! I finally found rims for my car that will actually fit! Photochop time!BlueWolfCry said:both will fit nicely, so it's up to you, i'd go with the 215, wider and not that much more expensive
ok so 48+ offset would fit nicely...but doesn't that make your wheels go quite inside? How does this offset affect your vehicle's performance and any worries on tire wears? Does anyone have this particular offset with either the 205/40's or 215/40's and had any problems?clownphish said:Yay! I finally found rims for my car that will actually fit! Photochop time!
