Rims that take TPMS

now since the Cx-7 has the same TPMS modules as the Rx-8, the same rims that work with the TPMS on the 8, would work on the Cx-7.

So please post what rims you bought that work with the TPMS modules.

(Mods, a sticky maybe)

question tho - i know the two cars use the same bolt pattern on the wheels, 5x114.3, but what about offset? It can't be TOO different on the RX but, on the CX-7 the offset is rather high, supposedly due to the suspension geometry assoicated with FWD and AWD setups...As far as i know the OEM sensors can be swapped onto any modern rim? FYI - figure about $100 ea. for new sensors if you're going to have a new set installed on new rims w/new tires and keep the OEM rims and tires w/the OEM sensors still installed - who wants to dismount the rubber every year to swap those things out? not me...'course, you could always do away with the sensors on the new rims, if you could live with, or discover how to disable, the TPMS alarm on the dash..?

The offset is the same on the Cx-7 and Rx-8 +50.
I would have the TPMS swapped into the rims when I buy then locally.
The OEM TPMS sensors are not compatable with a lot of rims especially the good looking ones! Oem replacement sensors for the Rx-8 are $120 a pop.

As for the "who wants to dismount the rubber every year to swap those things out?" I'm not understanding where you are coming from.

To disable the TPMS light, most just use elec. tape over the light but that wouldn't fly in my case.

Does anyone know if the TPMS is just part of the valve stem light the other Fords?
