Rims Question?

I am putting on my rims , they are not brand new. Is it important to have them balanced? Or could I just put them on? Is balancing necessary every time i put on my rims?

It's a good idea to get them balanced since you have no idea the last time it was done, do you?

you'll be fine unless they start vibrating on the freeway. they only have to be balanced when you switch tires or if the tire spins on the rim (if you drive hard right after the new tires are mounted and balanced)

you'll need to balance the wheel/tire combo. the weight is to offset the imbalances of the tire and not the wheel.
