Alright guys, get this s***...i ordered tires off the interent...got them...took them somewhere to put them on. A very nice, looking, respectable place. All Star tire is what it was called. IT was in Lafayette Indiana...they put the tires on, i walked out to check em out...and i see ALL kinds of scratches on the outside of the rim where they put the bead over it...i was so pissed. i been going rounds with these people, and theys say they are not responsible....and i really do not think i am gonna get them to pay for it...i was wonderin if any of you guys had any suggestions, of what i could do to get them fixed??? it will not buff out, it is like chipped off the outside layer...if anyone has ANY ideas please let me know.....so devastated...
thanx guys...

ah wtf that sucks...good luck

same experience in firestone b4...argue but no luck...later friends told me get a good atternoy and call them...you will get response...although it's few hundred bucks business...but it works...or call BBB...better business bureau...another BMW scartches in the dealership shop case was solved by that organization...good luck

same thing happened to me but with my Konig tantrums what i did was buy the wheel paint that matched the rims get a little brush and paint over it. It helped.

Do you know the paint code of the wheel paint, dallas_miami? I'd like to do some rim repair while my tires are off this winter.

Chris

man that does suck, alls i can say is try to make the company fixit and good luck to ya

keep going at them till they fix it in one way or another...they ARE responsible.

ya i wrote them a letter telling tthem i would get an attourney, and they said ok, do it...we will still win...and i am like well s***....i mean i have before and after pics of the rims....but i just think it is going to be very hard to get it out of them...the rims cost 320 a piece...and now i would have no clue of what their value is...anyone have ne clue? i mean i know it depends on how much damage is done to em...but ya cant see it unless u right down my the tire looking for it...
peace guys

You can get the rims for about 240$ each which is still alot. Its not worth it unless it has major damage...I had to buy one that was completly destroyed. hehe.

For the paint, you need someone to make you some because Racing Hart used some wierd s*** on their rims and i doubt you find the exact color.

try working your way up the mgmt ladder...find the owners name and try to contact him/her, and plead your case there. They're often more sypathetic and care a bit more if you're satisfied; plus they have the power to make it happen.

if not, get a big container of sugar, and find out whos cars are theirs, then wait for no one to be around...oh wait...well, you get what I'm saying

or just take a hammer or some sandpaper to their rims in front of them and see how that goes over :)

maybe coz your damage isn't that huge...so they think it is not a problem coz things happen all the time...but the firestone scratches one of my rim in many outter spokes deeply enough for people to notice even far away...

poosticks,go autobacs i cant remeber the model but it was wheel of the month alil while back s.s. mag mesh rim polished lip, looked great

same thing happened about a year ago to me at sears. yes, sears. i had a blowout and they were the only place around w/ tires in the size i needed in stock. they scratched all 4 rims. i fought w/ the manager on duty. called my cousin (an attorney) and she said there's no way I could lose. She said it's a simple open and shut case, and I could take them to small claims court without a lawyer and win easily. The next day, I called back and talked to a different manager. When I went to show him what happened, he said (in front of the original manager who said it's not his problem) that they would have to fix them. I took them to get re-powdercoated and sears picked up the tab. no money out of pocket for me.

this is a good reason why you should go to a national company..

discount tire ....

if they scratch a wheel and you say something about it they will fix it with no questions asked....

i doubt all star will fix them..

next time go to a company that knows what they are doing..

discount tire can send the wheels out to get repainted... its about 90-110 a wheel...

you could also get them powdercoated...

i plan on getting my wheels powdercoated gunmetal..

better business bureau can help you out man they did when a guy at ford backed my car into somebody elses and they claimed it wasnt there fault they said if you didnt sign something taking responsibility for any damaged or stolen property or if they had a sign posted they have to pay for it.
