i am planning on ordering a set off 17x7 nzo alloywheels (turino), they have a 5/100 and 5/114.3 bolt pattern and was wondering if they will fit my yellow p5? also not sure what size tires to get, i keep reading about offset and stuff like that and dont know if that matters, if somebody could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

first off...the bolt pattern on our cars is 5X114.3 so it has to have that pattern

the information below should give you what you need to know about the wheel offsets and the tires sizes you can use with that offset. also if you will go to this site http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
its a tire size calculator which will tell you the differences between the stock size tire you have and any size you are considering...it will give you the differences and tell you how much your speedometer will be off if any.

Mazda Protege5 fitment guide

for tire sizes
215/40/17; 215/35/18
-------------
and rim widths of 7 and 7.5 the offsets need to be:
7.0" +45 and higher
7.5" +48 and higher

for tire sizes
205/40/17
-------------
and rim widths of 7 and 7.5 the offsets need to be:
7.0" +42 and higher; Barely making it
7.5" +48 or higher, the +45 still worries me with this width on a 205.
