The stock motor mounts are known for premature failure. Can't recall what brand, but there was an aftermarket brand (OEM replacement) that was solid rubber instead of oil filled like the Mazda/FoMoCo mount that lasts longer. Poly mounts will probably outlast the stock mount, but expect more vibrations.
I replaced mine with another stock part, cost me $99.40. OEM still sucks, I wonder if the Mazda3 mount will fit...either way it's a simple 20 minute job, there's a write up on here somewhere.
I was looking at Tasca for about $87 OEM. I'm tempted to do a Beck Arnley from Rock Auto for $56.
Yeah, this may be the easiest motor mount to replace in the history of engines.
How does something leak and not crack? It's bad.
A. Really good pic.
B. Yes, the mount is completely fragged. I replaced mine with ROCA (google search for ROCA USA) which is solid rubber. Engine movement is down, and better precision when shifting gears. No extra vibrations.
