No, I have no clue what pieces I need to put a roof rack on my car.
The rack itself and the arms that attach it to the rails (I don't have these)
The rails (these are installed on my car with filler strips covering the rack mounting holes)
The filler caps I have

I know, trouble is I didn't have any use for a roof rack and now I do. So, Since I already have the filler strips I will need the roof rails and the cross bars. From what I have seen in past for sale threads is that guys have/are only selling cross bars. I suppose I can go to the dealership and get the rails as much as I would hate to pay that much for them.

just you need to find the platic covers that will cover the part where the rack bolts onto the rails since mines cracket since they were so dry with this tx heat.

He has the full set, rack and rails, he wants filler strips to delete the rack completely. You have the filler strips that he wants and he has the full rack you want. You want the rack and rails so you wouldn't need the filler caps unless you plan on take the cross bars off. Rico would just need the plastic clips for installing the filler strips
ok? I am still confused. I think that I am calling parts by different names than you guys are. Like "filler strips", to me those are the long (~5ft.) strips that fill the gap at the roofs edge. Cam I believe you have them under your roof rails (the parts that the cross bars attatch to).
The filler strip is the long 1-2" wide rubber piece that fills the gap left when removing all traces of roof racks. These strips don't have the big plastic rails on top of them

Ok. Problem is I won't be able to have a smooth roof line when I don't want to run the rack. I will have the roof rails all the time and the cross bars when I need to haul stuff. Right? I really want to be able to swap back and forth depending on the situation. Screw it! Do you want to trade?
