My Hiboost intake was having problems clearing the stock hood also ... It was rubbing was on the passenger side just a little bit. What i found with this hood is that it isn't as thick as the stock hood and it will clear the piping with about a quarter inch of spacing.Pretzellogic said:My stock hood won't do this.
With this hood the under hood temperature is astonishing. The hiboost kit doesn't have a cold air intake, so the under hood temperature was important to me. Before the hood, the temperature of the air just before the throttle body would be around 10 or 12C above the outside temperature. With this hood the intake temperature is only a few degrees warmer. Which is great news. The only problem i'm worried about is that the intake air is soo cold i'm afraid i might be leaning out a little bit (laugh).niv said:rubicon's been keeping an eye on the underhood temps.. i can't wait to hear what he's got to say on it.
