On how to fix the oil pan, you got it! Either the vice grips, or what I use...BIG ASS PLIERS!!! The oil cooler cost me like $180 or something like that. I also have my new EGR tube that was about $36.

I used a larger head bolt, that i turned upside down across all the bolt holes that were warped. Hit it with a hammer on a flat surface and they came close. If you torque the pan down right it "should " set itself.
hope it helps

Yeah, mazdamastertech told me to do that too.

New topic: I was just thinking about the floating wrist pins. I wonder if those contribute some engine noise?

not really. its the clearance between the piston skirt and wall.
it is completely normal for forged internals. the only problem is excessive clearance can cause premature wear of the rings and bore destruction.
since you got them made from a reputable facility and had them machined to stock clearances they will be fine.:)

Kool. On another note, I have over 1200 miles now, and it seems to be running smoother. I ordered the Techedge WBO2, and now I have the daunting task of finding the L1H1 sensor for a good price. I went by a Honda dealership this morning to get the price on the 36531-P07-003 5-Wire O2 sensor. They told me $380 +! (shocked) :wtf:

give me till monday and ill see if i can get it for you. call me on monday to remind me.

$380??!! That's crazy! I picked mine up for $350CAN up here just before christmas. That's with taxes too! I'll check for you Patrick. If you like, I can send one down to you, given the price hasn't gone up.

Gordon, yeah if you can find a good deal let me know. Nick, I will hit you up later as well. Let it be known that I am looking for the NTK version, not the Bosch equivilent. Thanks for advance for all you help.

Well, I ended up finding a sensor for my TechEdge for $240. Yesterday I sealed up the oil return fitting on my oil pan. it was indeed loose. We'll see if this was the only spot leaking when I get more Redline oil.

linux, where are you leaking oil?? dont tell me its between the tranny and engine or somewher in that area. thats where mine is leaking after putting in my built engine. and it sucks cause its getting on the exhaust and now i have the smoking mod...:D

Joe P. MBC is installed. Works great! I have it set for 8-9 PSI. My lag is less now, and it holds true. Easy install! My A/F Ratio is at 10.4 when I hit boost which is still extremely rich. When I was at 11 PSI it stumbled a little so I let off immediately, and my A/F was in the low 11's,but turned it down to 8-9 PSI due to paranoia. Help is on the way though.

J&S Safeguard working!!!

Also I forgot to mention...It seems that the J&S is retarding like it is supposed to! Minimal knock retard if at all! Very rare to see the little red lights come on. Any new developments John?

Developments? What did you have in mind? If you have an idea that I can incorporate in software, let me know, and I'll see if I can do it.

Do you have any boost retard cranked in?

How did you set the sensitivity?

If you back off the boost retard, does the knock retard activity increase?

The boost retard is set in right now to retard 2 degrees per PSI of boost.

The sensitivity is in the middle (slighly to the more sensitive side) on the knock retard.

I haven't backed off the boost retard yet due to some fuel issues (uber rich) that my skew thinks later with the knock retard when fixed later.
