reset oil change data 2007 CX-9

Can anyone give me guidance on resetting the oil change data on my 2007 CX-9 Grand Touring? The mechanic came out as I was driving away and said the new guy failed to reset the computer. He seemed to think it was something I could manage on my own. I opted to give it a try rather than wait with a cranky toddler.

for the record, I did search the forum before posting, and tried the method of holding both pedals for 20 seconds.

nothing on the 2014 either, as far as I can tell. No mention of it in the user manual either.
