Requesting Pics 4 under-axel design Exhaust

Guess I need coilovers then...Jason sold me his Apexr1 exhaust and my car doesn't look lower than his, but yeah mos def be VERY careful over imperfections in the road. Oh, and I need new hangers...

I am more wanting to see pics in the area that I have circled in this picture. Thats like my GHl section that I am going to work off of.

You could always cut the pipes and add a flange like the vibrant. If you find that its too low. I know you can adjust your setup stiffness but 3" below the axel is still going tobe low, and you can never account for what might be on the road. My ghl never stayed in its place especially at that connection. drove me nuts.

Sandspeed i think did this. search for him.

He did. I think he had a few pics also. Im just curious how the apex exhaust routes in the area of the gas tank. Cuz all thoose bends on that last picture Strike me as kinda wierd.

I like the way it looks. And I have gotten tired of trying to fit up my ghl to where it wont hit things in the back. I have done pretty much everything and it always eventually starts to rattle against something. I am wanting to customize my ghl into an under the axle setup with an HKS carbonfiber Titanium Muffler.

you also see he added 2 new hangers in 2 different locations right?

Yeah I figured that would have to be done. No biggie. I guess the only thing I am unsure about is how the apex exhaust and other custom setups have routed the piping in the area around the gas tank.

y go through all that trouble though? Just add a flange to the one you have now. I mean its your car you can do what you like but it seems like way to much work for no gain whatsoever.

Only the APex goes under the Axle..all other use the stock configuration.
I would never do the Under personally as it looks like someone tried to take one hell of a short-cut..It looks cheap and not thought out or well built.

I am just tired of the look of the GHL.I dont like the muffler at all. I used to but Ive changed my mind on it. I just want something different. Im making a new midpipe removing the cat and resonator. I like the look of a slightly angled muffler. But there is such thing as too much angle. I think a slightly angled HKS CF titainium muffler would look pretty nice.

indeed. i never liked the 'turtle neck' tip they put in there.
I have been running open midpipe for a couple months due to the fact that I dont feel like dealing with all the rattling. Actually sounds pretty good. LOUD but good. I dont mind the loudness. But if people complain about droning come ride with me in my car. It is terrible. I like the loudness but its retarded being right under me.

I figured for in the area of $400ish I could get the HKS muffler and rig up a midpipe without the cat and resonator.(should help with power) And work off the 3rd section of my GHL to make a pretty decent looking under the axle setup.

lol i bet its loud. I had mine all tight and didnt rattle for like 2 weeks and it was still loud for me. The system is ok, the fit and finish is terrible however.

I dont blame you for wanting to change it. Can you angle the muffler while still going over the axel?

Well thats one thing I was debating. I just dont think I could get it to look right by doing that. I am a pretty careful driver. I typically drive on pretty decent roads. The clearance issue is not a big deal to me.

I see where you are coming from on that. It is very easy for an under the axle setup to look like s***. But I have seen some that look really good. I think it is all in the angles and design. Thats why I am trying to get as many pics as I can before I attemp it. Too many bends would make it look like s*** right away. Im trying to get the routing of the piping to flow as smoothly as possible.
