They said they can't do anything to it becuase of our 2 cats. So I guess I should go somewhere else? What should I do? I have my 2.5" downpipe comming soon so I want a 2.5" exhaust to complete the setup. Help me out, and tell me what to tell the exhaust shop next time I go becuase I walked in totally clueless last time and I dont want to do it again =D

that muffler shop doesn't know wtf they are doing if they cant work with this exhaust. there is a muffler shop near my house that can do my msp. i chose not to do it, cuz they only crushbend. anything is possible with an exhaust. its just pipes and welds/flanges. 2 cats should not be a problem with any muffler shop.
Ok BlackMSP heres the deal!
This is why you need to get your exhaust done before you install the D/P and cat eliminator.The new downpipe you are getting replaces the existing D/P and the cat section after the D/P!If you get your custom exhaust done before you swap out the D/P you are still emissions legal so any GOOD exhaust shop will do this for you!AS for your Q on what a RESONATOR is,it's basically what was said in an earlier post, a muffler.It quiets down the exhaust note and usually addds a little tone to the sound.The D/P you are getting is a direct bolt in swap so if you have exhaust made with the info you have on the D/P everuything will(should)bolt up[ with no problems.

Ya but matt how does that work out... If they make the exhaust now they wont be able to put it on because one will be made to fit a 2.5" downpipe, but the stock msp downpipe is 2" so I will have to have them make the pipe, then install it myself. But then if there are any problems with what they made and I take it back they will see that I am now non legit with the 2.5" downpipe and wont touch my system. Correct?

Heres what you do,Walk into the shop and ask them to make you a 2.5" cat back exhaust set-up(now).Then,when you get your D/P ,all you have to do is un-bolt your new exhaust from the existing cat section and then unbolt un-bolt the factory D/P bolts from the turbo and then remove the factory D/P and cats together(I don't see a need to un bolt them from each other)And now you are ready to reverse the removal procedure and install your new D/P where your factory one used to reside!VOILA!New D/P,no cats ,and a custom cat back exhaust.Sounds like after this you will be ready to take to the streets!

OK wait i just had a brainstorm?I may be wrong on this one!OH NO I MIGHT BE WRONG!I'll make a call tomorrow to find out if my logic on this is correct or not .If it isn't I'll let you know.I need to look at my exhaust diagram(which i have at home ,not at home right now)I might be able to get you an answer tonight .Let me go home and see.I'll be back on in about an hour.I'll let you know what i find out!
