My wife and I have just brought a 2015 cx5 20s proactive from Japan and it due to land in New Zealand in a few weeks.
I have been looking at getting the infotainment unit into English with the right FM frequencies but it seems like that ain't so easy so I thought it might be. I am not a fan of using band expanders.
So my question is if I get the screen unit out of a NZ new cx5 of the same vintage and put it in my JDM car would that work or would I need to change other parts as well? I can pick up one of those for about NZ$350.
I would like to have the factory use when using it but open to other options. I don't care about the nav as I will probably go down the tire of inserting Mazda tweaks to get Android Auto.
