Replacing Factory Stereo?

Hey all, I'm new here.

I've got an '06 Mazda 6 without the Bose system. Last summer I put a subwoofer in without swapping out the stereo I just spliced the signal from the driver's side door speaker, ran it through a de-amplifier, and then re-amped it for the sub.

Now I'm thinking about swapping the stereo so that I can have an AUX input, and also run the sub's RCAs directly from the stereo like you're supposed to. My questions are:

How hard is it to get the stereo out of the dash? Because the car has tweeters up front, will I need a 6-channel stereo to replace the current one? Will getting a new stereo also require swapping out all of the speakers so that I don't blow them?

Thanks!

Since you have a BOSE factory system, you will need a special integration kit so that you may use the current Bose amp working and powering your current speaker set up. You buy any head unit of your liking since your planning keeping the stock system. Otherwise, you will have replace the head unit and run your own wiring for the speakers. Basically, from the HU to wherever your BOSE amp is located so that you may tap there to all your speakers. You search eBay or Google the integration kit I'm talking about....I use to have on my watch list when I had my 2007 CX-7 GT which had the factory nav/BOSE system....but I removed it....
