Replacing CX-9 Side Mirror Trim

PJ171

2020 CX-9 Signature
Hi Everybody,

Someone door checked our CX-9's driver's side mirror in a parking lot. Fortunately the mirror is still functional after the black trim sacrificed itself for the greater good.

Question for everyone, does anyone know what it would take to replace the trim? Seems like it would be dooable myself but I have no idea where to start.

Thanks!
-Paul

I think the entire assemble needs to be replaced. And from the diagram, you'll need to remove the door card to unplug a harness and remove a bolt or two

Thanks! Talked with a body shop today, it sounds like the Grey base part can be replaced but it does include most of the guts like you thought. Sounds like the turn signal and body color cover are separate parts.

Looks like the body shop route may be actually be cheaper than getting a whole new mirror.

My spouse just knocked the passenger side off my car. I found a good used (OEM) one on ebay. It was the right color and in better shape than what it was replacing. Better still it was both cheaper and available (many Mazda body parts are not currently available, including rear bumper cover).
