Replacements for rear hatch lift supports 2008 MS3

Hello. I am looking for an online vendor to purchase the rear hatch lift supports for a 2008.5 MS3. The driver's side failed on a very cold winter day and car is out of warranty for this type of repair. I ordered the supposed replacement driver's and passenger's side parts online here at autopartswarehouse.com. The driver's side does NOT fit, it is about two inches too short (so if you are 6 ft tall and don't mind the tailgate hitting your forehead its a perfect fit). The passenger's side replacement part fits fine. The company's customer service sent a replacement for the wrong part but the replacement part is the exactly same - too short, again. The funny thing is that the part sent for driver's side (both times) is labeled for a Peugeot while the passenger's side clearly states it is for a Mazda. I'm trying the customer service route again but I am not hopeful for a successful resolution.

Any recommendations for online vendors that sell the CORRECT parts?

Thank you.

Try Rock Auto. That's where I got the struts for my Ram and 300.

Thank you for the suggestion. The part is not on the web site so I called to confirm whether they have the parts. Unfortunately they do not have them.

Wonder if the after-market hasn't caught up (since the struts should not be bad yet). The hood struts on my Ram lasted eight years, the struts on my C lasted five.

I think there is at least one Mazda dealer who is a vendor here. MazdaPartsOnline (?)

What is the Mazda part number for the parts you are looking for?

Thank you for the replies. I returned the parts to autopartswarehouse.com for a full refund. They explained there's an error in their catalog and couldn't help to correct it. Ordered from partstrain.com which I learned is the same vendor on the back end (OEM partsbin?) so I received the correct passenger's side but wrong driver's side, once again. Those are going back for a full refund.

I do not see part numbers in the Mazda service manual. The parts I had received in all cases were Lesjofors brand (reportedly a supplier of Mazda OEM parts). Supposedly the parts that were shipped were driver's side P/N BP4K-63-620F and passenger's side P/N BP4K-62-620F.

Now working with a local CarQuest auto parts store to try get the correct fitting parts. Funny thing, they also received the same Lesjofors parts - wrong driver's side (too short). They are now working to get the right part. If it doesn't get resolved, I'll try one of the links provided here.

Thank you again for all the info.
