I need to replace my driverside wheel bearing. I was told that I wasnt able to get an aliment until this bearing is replaced. Is there a tutorial that shows how to do this. What kind of tools? Is this a big job, how long would it take? Thanks guys. Oh and where would I find the new bearing.

get it professionally done since you know nothing about the process... it involves using a press!

I know that Im gonna have to get the new bearing pressed in but I will just take it to a shop and pay them to do it. I would just like to know what tools I would need and any other tips or tricks.

i just looked at the manual, it doesnt seem like it gonna be a big task. Im gonna take it to a shop to get it pressed in. It will be alot cheaper then having someone do it.

The most "fun" (meaning PITA) part of the job is getting the axle shaft loose soe you can pull the whole hub off. Here's an example of the pain:

Re: getting the bearing pressed out - no, not a big deal, take teh whole hub to a shop, they'll push it out and put in a new one for you.

Or, if you are really lazy - I haven't checkedo n this vehicle, but I assume it's the same as all protege models? If you dig around you might find it's cheaper to just order a whole intact hub from a junkyard.
This assumes you are cheap and ok w/ junkyard parts though. I got one for my '95 Tracer (almost identical suspension) for $25. Shop fee + bearing cost more than that.
