Ok tuesday i order headlight and fog light bulbs from nopi. The guy said i needed the H4 bulb for the headlight and the H3 for the foglights. Well i got them in tonight and the fogs will work but the headlight and wrong. Can any one tell me which ones i need...and i looking for a blue look instead of the white look.....and does any one know the bolt pattern on the P5...thanks

well thats why the H4 was way to big...mazda sure did a sorry with the way the bulbs go in and clip...the reason i was asking the bolt pattern was im working on a friends 97 eclipse and it has 18's and i was wandering if they would fit on mine

i was wondering what is a good light to put in head light and high beem the car had HID in the fogs already and i want bright and a unifor look with out killing the bank

never mind the bolt pattern deal i figured it out...what exactly does the offset mean?? will the 18's fit with my car lowered about 1 1/2 inchs

i prefer Streetglow H7s for the headlights. nice, bright, they last a long time and aren't walletbusters

I was thinking abot the piaa Extrem whites 4000k i work at a parts place and can get them for about $67 canadian about $45-50 us Also what light would look goon for the turn signal the yellow looks like a*s im just trying to clean up the front end and have brighter lights

I changed my headlights, this is my 3rd set so far. I'm having a problem with the connection I think. Its all clipped in ok but I loose contact. I'll have to pop the hood then just tinker with the white plug and the bulbs will comeon. So annoying. Also the bulbs I put in are higher watts then the standard and kinda burned up the white power clip ya know. Anybody else have that problem?

I'm having issues actually finding a headlight that fits, neither the H4 or H7 works. The prong on the H4 is right but the bulb is too big... is there anyone out there that's had this issue and found a bulb that fits?

Edit: Getting a kit tomorrow that will convert the 3 prong plug for the H4 to an H7 as I know the H7 bulbs fit, but don't have the correct plug for my car.

The H7's fit. They can be a pain to get the wire hooked back up, it took me 15 minutes of cursing to get it back on there, but they certainly do.

Holy old thread revival! I think your issue may be the same as mine when I bought it... is there a black adapter that goes between the bulb itself and the white plug? If not, there should be. The only reason I can assume this happens is that someone has HIDs, sells the car, keeps the HIDs, and completely forgot where they put the adapters and says **** it.

If the adapter is there, you should have no problem putting the H7 bulb in.

Just bought an 02 Protege5, having the same issue with the headlights... looks like I'm missing that black adapter between the bulb and the white plug... any idea where I can get replacements?

Little of topic i guess. but i just Bought 03-MP5. 2 days ago and wondering if any one can point me to the right place . I want to Install HID on the car, want to know how hard is it to install and what Bulb type shall i get Thanks.

And don't get anything above 6000K. I would personally recommend the 4500K ones.

I am looking to install the HID on my MP5 in the next 2 weeks. i was going to go with 6000k. But after reading your Comment Above. i am little confused.
i want to go for the White Bright look. so which one will be the best ones for me. the 6000 or 5000 or the 4500 ? i am also going to go for the 55w kit. any comments on that.
Thanks in advance ... :)

55W kits are overkill for our stock headlights and a relay harness is recommended with that setup due to the power it draws at startup. I would stick with 35W in 4300/4500K...no higher than 5000K (which would give you a slight hint of blue...but you start losing a little bit of useable light on the road).
