Yesterday I picked up, and installed my Cam Angle Sensor that I had ordered last week to replace the damaged one I had zipped-tied to the connecter. After I installed it, I noticed that my engine idled smoother, and accelerated smoother. It felt like a little more power was getting to the wheels when I romped on the pedal. That was not enough, I (with the help of Jag61180) cleaned my K&N on my MHP Intake. As a result, my engine's power delivery, and gas milage has seemed to have increased. That FS-ZE is more like it is supposed to be now. It may be worth it to get it dynoed to see if that power dip I had a problem with before is gone.:D

This particular sensor costs $112 USD from Mazda (This thing is small too!)

The K&N Filter Charger Kit costs $9.99 at Auto Zone.

K&N filter CHARGER kit? Is that how you clean them? what does it include?

It includes the cleaner (in a spray bottle), and the Fileter Oil (In a aerosol can). It is a good idea to use a high preassure air blower to first blow out the loose dirt.

UMM, I am almost certain that K&N Specifies that you mustNOT use a compressor to Blow throught the filter element. It will distort the cotton element, and distrupt the engineered air flow. also, it will allow larger particles to contaminate your engine because you are opening up the elements' fibers.

The best way to clean a K&N is in the dish washer by itself with no soap. The water doesn't spray to hard, but it gets a good cleaning. I have done this for years, and it works wonders. It takes all the work out of it. Then just oil it after it comes out and you are done.

Sounds easy enough! Then what do you "oil" it with?
