Replace Headlight or DIY with Halos

Hello. Wanted to know your opinion on this issue.

I stupidly adjusted my headlights left and right settings. I was twisting the passenger side to the right and all of a sudden I heard a popping noise, and the light went back to its original position. My friend said I broke the plastic thread inside.

1. So should I go to Mazda and have them fix it? Which probably means they will order a new headlight, I doubt they would heat and open the thing.
2. Skip Mazda and buy my own headlight online?
3. Keep my headlight, open it up, and fix it myself? This option allows me to add halos but it's a little scary, having to bake and open it up. This is probably the cheapest but riskiest.

What do ya think.

if its new and under warrenty have them replace it, but they may not.

I would love to do that but I believe my warranty expired in December. I'll call Mazda tomorrow to check. I actually like my Mazda dealership, Almaden Mazda. Everyone there is really nice and helpful especially the service department.
