Removing Stock Stereo

I just bought my MP3 this week, and I would like to swap out the stereo (the stock kenwood's volume buttons are bad). So far I am able to pop off the trim, and remove two screws that appear to hold a bracket for the stereo and that small shelf. That little shelf below the stereo is what I am having trouble with. You can remove two plugs from the top corners, but I can't tell if there are screws in those holes holding the unit in.
Does anyone know if there are screws in there that need to be removed? I don't want to widen them to my screwdriver in if there is nothing in there.

Thanks in advance!

Suprised no one has answered this. If the stereo was installed correctly there should be 2 small flat pins that you stick in on each side of the stereo and it will slide right out

^^ This. You can buy Kenwood tools for this or use some butter knives lol. The radio support bar does not need to be removed.

I actually bought mine at a store for $5 way easier than pulling it all out. Of course if i were worried about it being stolen i would pull it out and screw it into the bracket so it wouldnt be so easy to steal

Thanks for the replies! So you can just remove the stereo unit then, if I'm understanding this correctly? I'll have to take another look at it this weekend. And thanks for the link @Hammo, but the MP3 has a bit different stereo set up than this, pretty much an aftermarket head unit that came stock.
