Has anyone done this? Is it just a sticky or is there a post connecting it to body?

Just d/s tape. Break out the fishing line or dental floss.

Go for it. It'll still have "Skyactiv" even if you remove the advertising!

Myself, I have other projects way ahead of that!

Some people never learn. This is the kind of unnecessary (mildly) passive-aggressive remark that has earned you the kind of reputation you have in some quarters of this forum Mike. Didn't your mother ever teach you "If you don't have anything nice to say...yada yada yada."

As posted, light weight fishing line and then lighter fluid to clean up the residue.

There was nothing impolite about that. Are you always such a nanny?

And more to the point, why don't you follow your own mother's advice?

"Skyactiv" is advertising. As is Ecoboost, BlueMotion, and EfficientDynamics

Another way to brandname the manufacturer's technology. Marketing only.

I thought a nanny took care of children. What's wrong about taking care of children?

In this case you have a petty, controlling person portending to know what good manners entail while simultaneously being critical of another and violating the very principle he thinks he's enforcing!

Only a child is this easily confused!

I took mine off right away using the wife's hair dryer, dental floss and Goo Gone.

This is exactly how we removed them at the dealership. Except they used a heat-gun and a lot of brains/self-control. Hair-drier is a much better tool for this job. I'd be tempted to just do it on a hot day when it was parked in the sun.
