hey... possibly removing my side moldings in less than an hour or so... whats my best bet, heat gun or 3M adhesive remover?

i removed the molding on my protege and use the 3M adhesive remover. worked like a charm. i highly recommend it. doesnt ruin your finish at all. i hit the strip where mine we with some wax and it looked like it came from factory without moldings. so clean.

where is a good place to get some 3m adhesive remover? i don't have a hair dryer and it's pretty cold outside now. so i guess ill go with that. lol

Geesh, you dont need any of that. They come right off and any little bit left on there can be worked off with a finger nail and a hair dryer.

It is pretty cold right now, so a hair dryer is your best bet, anyone know anything to use for the gunk that might be left behind.

you dont really need anything. I peeled them off with nothing and it was probly around 70 or so out. They come off very easy, and there wasnt anything left on the car, and im very picky about my car.

I just used a hair dryer to pull up the edge then it came straight off. No reason to go spend money on something you don't really need, you have to know some girls call and ask for a hair dryer, or call your mom!

Ill tell you what I did. it took about 2 minutes total and you can do it anywhere anytime. I took a shoelace, tied it to one corner, wlaked to the opposite end of the molding and yanked the hell out of it. Each one came off in 1-2 tugs. Rips right off. Theres nothing technical about it. Its a molding with double-sided tape.

well... i ended up peeling up one side and just pulling them all off no problem, goo gone for the clean up, and voila.

thanks for all the input though ill post up some pics once i clean my ride :)
