Well, I was bored yesterday, so I headed out to Hi Performance Arts in Blain, to see if they could remove my Cats. I also wanted to see what kind of difference in would make. So we did a before and after dyno. Just to let everyone know, im stock right now, except a K&N filter. Anyways, here is what I got

Stock: 140.8hp 141.5tq

Cats Removed: 157.0hp 148.2tq.

Not bad for $80 worth of exhaust work.

just thought I would share.

Its still there. My CEL didnt come on untill today actually. I dont know, It dosent run any different, but the shop that did my exhaust also sells MIL eliminators. So, I guess Ill have to go back and install one.

yeah if i were you i'd get it fixed sooner than later, boomer and myself (laserblue135 showed up too) put in my 3" apex dp and also installed the MIL, no CEL. it's really easy to do, the only special thing you need is the O2 socket.

i'm takin my cats out pretty soon, but i probably won't see gains like urs

I just pulled mine off to. I used the old 02 sensor anti-fouler trick to keep from gettting a CEL.
I took the O2 out to see if I would get a CEL and sure enough I did. With it in the car just purrs along with no CEL. I don't know what the gains are but I have been running 12PSI for about 68,000 miles and it definitely pulls much harder from 4000-6500.
