Remove/replace Washer bottle in 2014 CX-5 (help?)

:
2014 & 2019 CX-5 Touring(s)
My son had an 'incident' with a deer a few days ago in the 2014 CX-5. Fortunately, the car only sustained damage to the extreme right lower side plastics, but as part of the impact the windshield washer bottle was cracked and has leaked all the fluid out. The bottle is buried in that front quarter, and I don't see an easy way of getting it out to either repair or replace. The only thing I found on google was the shop manual extract here: Mazda CX-5 Service & Repair Manual - Washer Tank Removal/Installation - Washers but it says to remove the front bumper (although no details on how).

So, I'm wondering if anyone here has done this and found a 'less intensive' way than removing the whole bumper cover to get to it?

not sure about CX5 but in cx3 front bumper has to go out. Its relatively easy as long as you have a garage or a place to work freely on the car.

Are there a couple bolts or hose connections one can't get to through the fender or top?

I could have sworn when I was replacing fog lights with my Morimotos years back and looking up there it seemed accessible but maybe I'm having a false memory.
