2017~2024 Remove Pin Stripe Glue?

:
18 CX-5
Hey everyone-
Whats the best way and/or best products to use to remove left over glue from pin stripe removal? This is for a 18 snowflake white CX-5.

TIA

rubbing alcohol, be sure to wax the area after using

Rubbing alcohol might not be strong enough, but worth a shot since its gentle and cheap.

If that doesn't work or takes too much elbow grease, WD-40 will work. You won't need a lot of it and don't spray directly onto the surface. Just spray some on a microfiber towel and rub gently. I've found if you rub on and wait a few minutes before wiping clean, the adhesive gets soaked and comes off easier. (Got my experience removing those annoying dealership stickers from our cars.)

If you don't have WD-40 and need to buy something, any of the paint-safe bug/tar removers will do the trick. Use same as WD-40 above.

Whatever you use, don't forget to at least wash the car afterwards.

I'm in the process of buying a new CX-5 and posted a comment regarding pin striping it.

I take it that this is another "Don't do it" vote.
