Remote window lowering

I have a 2025 CX-50 and I'm supposed to be able to lower all windows via my key fob. I've read the procedure and tried it numerous times but nothing happens. I'm pressing the "door open" button on my fob 4 times and holding the oen button down while waiting to see the windows lower. Am I doing something wrong?

It’s all about timing. My CX5 is temperamental on the timing of my presses on the fob. Watch this video and look at the guys timing vs when the lights flash on the car. I’ve had mine for a year and still gives me a hard time.

My car is in a parking lot far from the building I work in, so unfortunately this is useless to me.

Same here, sometimes it works, more often it's a waste of time. Still, it's way less wonky than the ND3 Miata's remotes and door/trunk buttons.

In what way? I don't have issues with mine.

It should be press-press-press-press&hold (hold down on the 4th press). Just make sure the lights flash on each press, but don't wait any longer than that between presses.

The MX-5 bumper trunk release button on the ND3s isn't as quick to respond as the buttons on the ND1 and ND2 models. Many owners experience delays or the need to press the control a second time to get the trunk to open.

On the remote, I hold the button down and it pops within about a second. I'm glad it's not more sensitive or it might go off in my pocket.

How about when you press the button under the bumper? That seems to be the compliant some owners mention. The response on mine improved when I replaced the remote battery... on my 6-month-old GT.

Huh. I just went and tested it. I always thought that was a press and hold as well, so that's what I had been doing and it acted similarly to the remote. But I did a single press as you said and there is a 0.5-1.0 second delay.
