Remote will unlock car but not lock it...??

So this morning the remote would lock and unlock the car...this afternoon it will only unlock the car. Anyone know a trick or sequence to get this function to work again?

The trick is: wait for it. No seriously, wait. I went mountain biking and came back and the same thing occurred to me. I thought, oh, great, I've got to go to the dealer now. But something amazing happened over night. It actually started working again. Sh!tty answer, but it may just come back. Which, of course leaves me wonder "when will it happen again" as nothing was fixed.

Figured it out...the hatch wasn't closed all the way so it wouldn't allow the car to lock. I didn't know this b/c I didn't drive it to see the door ajar illuminated. I tried to fix it in my garage. Anyway, everything works again, its just tough to see if that hatch is closed vs. closed all the way. Now I know what to look for if my wife tells me it doesn't lock again...right after she was at the grocery store

Same happened to me. Actually it's a pretty nice safeguard.

Doesn't the car give a series of beeps if you try to lock it with any of the doors open?

Mine does that if I press the request switch on the outside and a door is open. But I have the Advanced key so the switchblade key might be different.

and if it isnt working, try holding the remote up to your chin... that helps sometimes

I don't have advanced key so I got nothing.

Holding the key to your chin is something I've heard before it doesn't work.
