I've had my 5 since 07, the remote starter was installed by the d
ealer in 09, and has worked perfectly since. This summer, the remote starter stopped working. I hit the fob button, and it does everything it's supposed to, other than actually crank the car over... It tries it 3 times, and nothing... I have verified it's NOT in valet mode, and the wiring to the hood latch is all there and connected. I made a video of what it's doing now
Before, the car-shaped icon with the lock never flashed while it was starting, that's the only thing different now. It for sure ISN'T in Valet Mode, and all the wiring to the hood latch is on... I wanna get this working again before it gets cold out, but preferrably without taking it to the dealer (closest one is 90 min. away and basically requires me to take a vacation day to deal with)
