Remote locks...do light flash?

I just had my windows tinted today...I notice that when I unlock the doors with the remote the lights flash. But they don't when I lock the doors. I thought that they did. Do you think the tint person shorted something out when the door panels were off? I swear the lights flashed when locking the doors! Also, when I used to lock the doors and then press the lock on the remote again, the horn would beep ...now it does not. Is something wrong?

Dude, something is wrong. When you lock lights are supposed to flash once, then flash and beep on the second press then flash twice for unlocking. I'd go back.

Yeah I called them and they said to bring it back and they will check the master switch which is located on the drivers side. THEY can take apart the door to look! Thanks

Yeah it's possible they just left a harness dirconnected if they had to pull the door panels off to install the tint. Some shops pull the panels for a cleaner install.

I had that exact problem a few weeks ago. But the problem fixed itself. It started to work after i took it out for a drive. Try this and tell me if it works or not.

No...I moved my car from one parking space to another and the problem is still there....If anyone knows how to remove the door panel, I could look myself...

Do the doors lock when you press the lock button?

i would also try to reset your ECU by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, and see if that helps...in the world of electronics, sometimes it helps just to re-boot

Doors do lock when I push the lock button...just no light or horn

I would like to just get into the door and see if there is something disconnected. Is there just one screw to undo then some clips? Would the remote locks switch be in the drivers door?

i wouldnt **** with the door panels, those little clips are notorious for breaking...my friend broke his on his camaro, and he had to order a whole new door panel!!!

Check the doors and the door switches, if one of the doors are opened or the hatch is opened the lights wont flash when locked. it will still lock. It will still flash twice when unlocked.

Ok I will go down and check...but I would have thought that when driving home from the tint shop the "door open" light would have shown up on the dash...I will check.....

Haaaa Haaa....the hatch was not closed! Now the lights and horn blow when I push the lock on the remote....Thank you very much! Soon as I went to open the hatch, I could tell it was not closed properly...funny that there is no indicator on the dash...Again, thanks - it saved me from having to drive down there to have them rip apart my door panel..
