Red Pro5 Semi-Build

i took off the front M to do the 'evil m' . i think all i did was heat it up with a heat gun and pry it up slowly. i think i used a screwdriver to help get a side up. and there are 2 pegs in the middle

brakes are in need of replacement. im would like to get some drilled/slotted rotors, any brand suggestions? i would just be replacing the fronts as of now so budget wise would be under 200$ for the pair.

any input is appreciated!

brakes are going to be done this week. but i also got a new key for the car also, its sooo much cleaner

Sub, reminds me of my car last year, it looks great man, keep up the good work. Loving the key too.

Go with OEM blanks for rotors, honestly i can't stress that enough.

its been awhile since i have posted anything on here. ive been very busy with a new toy(nana)

more to be done to the mazda, until then...happy motoring.

UPDATE
its been awhile since i have had time to do anything to my car but i finally got bit by the modbug once again.
i had a cylinder 2 misfire and solved that by getting new plug, wires and coils.
while i was shopping around i picked up some drilled and slotted brake rotors from rock auto. and ceramic pads to go along with them.

BUT the thing that got me the most excited was a set of racing harts on CL that i picked up for 200$.

ill be running a 205/40/17 tire on it.
im leaving behind the red/gold combo and going with an all black look.
headlights and fogs will be next, thinking about getting sedan lights and doing a retro HID mod to them. sidemarkers also.

pics will be up soon!!

didnt use one. just a heads up, that key fob fell apart on me, i was thinking about it the other night and realized i should have used some sort of glue when i put it together. but its overall a piece of junk. but if you have any questions regarding it let me know!!

Wow man, your car looks great and is pretty much how I want to treat mine. I've got a red 03, looks just like yours when it was stock. I just got a Pioneer touchscreen head unit, similar to yours but a slightly newer model, and I'm doing tint soon too. Did you ever decide on what % tint to settle with? I love the darker look but I don't want to deal with the legal hassle of going too dark.

I'm torn about my wheels. My stockers are exceptionally clean, considering how tough it is to keep polished wheels clean. But they are a little generic for my tastes, and mesh style or 17" 5-spokes are calling my name.

Also, fistbump to a fellow dubber. Here's a few of my many previous VWs:

I would actually love to have those exact wheels on my P5.

While we're on the topic, who can tell me what the bolt pattern is for the P5 wheels?

Keep up the good work!! I'll be following in your footsteps :)

ahh nice a fellow vw fan. if you are ever in the stl area, ill be selling my wheels here soon...not sure on price yet, but they will come with tires.
your looking at 5x114.3 for the wheels on the pro5.
if you have any questions about anything let me know, im more than happy to help.
i love that mk3, its my favorite body style. before i got the pro5 i was looking at a mk4 gli 1.8t.

I can never tell a Passat from a Jetta in pictures at first glance when they're debadged. Took me a few seconds to figure out it was a Passat... looks nice (2thumbs)

thanks for the heads up on the key fob jbeck, I actually held off on buying it when I noticed it was only two buttons. I think I'm going to reconsider buying it... lol
