ok i got a almost stock 2003 protege and i want to make it a one of a kind and here are some of my wants...tell me if yall have any ideas on how much it will cost and if possible...or needed

1) engine swap to a rotary-if a new rear end is needed i thought maybe a rx-7 rearend
2) 3 turbos and all that good stuff that goes along with it
3) duel exost instead
4) body kit any ideas of where to look? and is it a good idea to take the bumbers off the protege i seen a rx-7 with out them and i liked it.
5)custom interior
6)i was thinking of a custom sound system but was thinking it might be a bit heavy,
 
if you want rotary then buy an rx7 not a protege there is probably no need for dual exhaust on a protege no performance gains maybe even a loss because of back pressure there are some nice looking proteges out there some nice kits too custom interior is always a good thing but 3 turbos i dont know why you would try that these engine are small how much boost are you looking for because it sounds like your not going to have a car for very long i understand you want something that no one has done before but there are reasons people havent gone this way
 
1) dont waste your money chasing this impossible dream. It would cost so much money to put this together that you're better off buying an Audi R8....
2) Really? Seriously? That can't be a legit question...
3) Duel exost? Um, no.
4)again, this is a joke right? take the bumpers off cuz it looks cool?
5)Um, sure
6) Of course it will be but as long as you're not putting in 10 12" subs and a plethora of amps to go along with it you'll be ok.

4. NOOOOOOOOO( get a DGM Lip with a ES bumper up frount)
5. NO, just get racing seats
6. NOOOOOOOO what a wast of $ IMO, 1 sub is ok i guess, but do you really need the base? when you can hear your motor better?

This gotta be a joke.
 
ok a buntch of good points yes i know it'll be easier just to buy a rx-7 but thats the point i dont care to much if its easy all the best things are hard....
not really a joke, but i understand some of this is a bit outrages and not normal thats my point i want to stand out.i dont know to much about the rotary so i didnt really know if it could handle two exost or not and as for the three turbos one was to help spull up the other two(yet again i dont kow if a rotary needs it) and duel turbos is common... and alot of the cost ill save i can do alot of it or i want to do alot of it what i cant i got family that can..yes i thought the no bumbers kit streight down look pretty cool if you want a pic of what im talking about watch fntf-tokyo drift i liked it...and yes i love to listen to my engine but at times i like to have mind numbingly loud music(with bass)....and for outlawster i understand your point it would be cheaper to just get racing seats but thats kinda half assen it, and i dont like to half ass anything i love so...

and id thought and hoped yall would be helpfull at least saportive
but like most great artist's ideas there called crap stupid pointless and useless untell there done,then there beautiful and the greatest

this is the car i was talking about that didnt have the bumbers and i kinda like the look and it probably wood a take a good bit of weight off i mean you still have the kit but just no bumbers

i just gotta ask....is there a real reason why you are making soooo many threads with the same question???
 
i thought i only three and thats because the first two was kinda in the wrong spots and i relised it after............how much is a ton i was thinking like what it takes to buy the rotary like 4000 max then what? mounts and a trany to go with it...im not sure if i have to cut and fab to much but im sure i do..
 
ya that happens to be in a fully built and reconstructed race car with one thing in mind... quarter miles. possiable? ya im sure it is, probable? hahahahaha ya right. $4000 for the motor ok, then you need an ecu, all new front and rear ends, custom body work cuz im sure that what ever drivetrain you wanna put in it will not fit at all, custom exhaust, tranny, mounts, so more or less, you could take the body off your protege and buy an RX7, cut the frame rails then try to put the protege body on that
 
i thought before about taking the body and just puting it on an rx-7 but its kinda hard to find them down here and as of right now all this was just a dream ok well lets go with what yall say ok how much could i realisticly put in my 2003 2.0 with out swaping the engine and how much power will it give me
is the duel turbos be a good idea? im sure i could get more out of my engine i have with some mods any ideas? and cost
 
o and some one told me its not hard to switch the four door to a rwd because its already set for that all you have to do is switch the chasy and the engine to a rwd engine
IS THIS TRUE? i thought he was full of it and didnt know the protege.
 
2 turbos would be a waste of money and time...its hard enough for the FSDE to handle 1 turbo and with that you need to rebuild with forged internals and get the rest of the supporting mods.

Seriously, you need to search and see threads on this as its been covered way too much

I'm glad you're so imaginitive(or crazy) but your ideas are a bit outlandish for this car...
