I read a thread a while back about what gas people put in their MS3, but there didn't appear to be a final tally on which brand was the overall preference. To make things simple, here's a poll... so just pick the one you use most of the time.

You didn't list my California favorite - Rotten Robbie.

(No I didn't make that up, it's a real brand)

LOL...at first I thought you were talking about Robbie Rotten from Lazy Town. I couldn't believe it was a real brand until I looked it up.

I voted Chevron with Techron as well. It is usually pretty cheap around here plus there is one at almost every corner. The Terrible Herbst family owns the majority here.

I guess I cant vote cause I dont drive a MS3 but I try to stick with the top-tier gases (Shell and Sunoco are all that are around me). But I really wish we had Chevrons here in Jersey.

Amoco/BP, for not being top-tier rated is actually the purest of premiums. I would use them if their stations werent the dirtiest slimiest stations I have ever seen in New Jersey

gee what-a-jerk.

I used shell cuz I got that card thing, but I rather use chevron. When I have cash for gas, I used chevron, way better than shell. Citgo, well, lets not turn this into a political arguement/thread, but I'm from Venezuela, so you might know where I'm coming from. Citgo=Evil.

I actually wish there was a Chevron in the northeast. I primarily use Shell since they're all over the place, but would like to alternate brands every 3k miles to keep everything clean. There are a few Texaco stations (part of Chevron) but they're all out of the way.

Beware of the "cheap" aspect. I would never go anywhere cause it was cheap. I mean you are buying something that only runs your car. I would rather pay $3.25 for good gas instead of saving a couple bucks. IMO

I put "lukoil" brand gas in mine today, it could have all been in my head but I swear she was pulling harder then ever before.

Yup... there's nothing that I've read that would indicate any performance gains from one brand to the next. Oil is a commodity that oil companies sell to each other all the time so you might be buying Exxon the next time you pump at a Shell.

You're basically buying the cleansing additives which are different from one brand to the next. Most people don't care, but I personally would be reluctant to use low-grade gasoline on a car with a direct fuel injection system which can be sensitive to gunk build-up.

Regardless... I think we can all agree that its best to rotate brands twice a year or so.

I dont go by one brand, but whichever has the highest octane and good gas. I have bought bad gas from every brand, holiday, shell, bp etc etc. I usually buy from bp holiday or shell though
